Hi Daniel, I really enjoyed the piano playing and the overall chord structure. Your vocal had a nice warmth to it and fitted well with the feel of the song. Nicely produced and recorded.
Good song, good luck with the contest!
Cheers

Yo Butcher, how's the meat hanging?  :D

Long time no post, hope you are well.

The first time I listened to your song it kinda washed over me in a pleasant manner, but there was enough to bring me back for another listen. That's when it hit me,this is great stuff, but it's not immediate,it's a grower and that may hurt you in a competition where the judges are usually looking for instant gratification. Their loss.

I love the languid vocal delivery, love the piano, love the slide when it kicks in. The song is communicated with great feel and emotion, yet in an effortless and faux indifferent style.

Good luck in the comp, but I'd be proud to have nailed this song together regardless of what the judges think.  8)

edit...not sure if I voted correctly or not due to the lingo barrier!

Hi Butcher,

This is very laid back. There is some great piano playing going on here. It's a sort of dreamy, floaty song. Ah !!! - I'm just going to lie down on the grass now maaaaan  :)

What a fabulously chilled out song. I think it´s quite accessible as well...chills me out completely and the piano and vocals are superb. Great entry and I voted for you in German, which means I may not have voted for you, but I think I pressed the right buttons. Just like you did with this song!  ;D

I can imagine you walking solitary over meadows singing this in the video. Maybe there´s a flower in your hair. Maybe not. Either way it´s a great piece of music.

My only production tip would be to maybe put a bit of compression on the vox at the start, they come through quite sharp.

on the first listen it was only half way thru i realised you were singing in english....i couldntve been concentrating could i !!

Good chilled out ballad.

Love those pianos and the highlight for me is when the percussions kick in.

Would love to sit in a room and listen to this live.

Hi

Very nice song.
Really like the delivery style.
Some of the piano work reminded me of Tori Amos - a good thing.

Good luck with the vote.

Hey there Butcher.........great song! The melody and singing are absolutely captivating...stellar!
The music is beautiful. The sound is very original....... ;D
This has a "Simply Red" sophistication to it that I really enjoy...

Great track!

Especially loved the orchestral ending, no repeating of the chorus, just leave it hanging there... Great piano solo :)))

All the best!

Nice song butcher - I just love a piano song and it's played beautifully in this - is that you?
Lovely production and vocals outstanding. I pushed a button and said I wasn't a robot - but maybe I said I was :) Oh yeah, and that bass is sumptuous too - is that you?  ;D ;D
Would like to see the lyrics...

Fine work
Paul
