Wasn't mugged..the gear Jeep was brocken into before we emptied it to the Hotel....thought we had time for a meal before we moved the stuff..obviously not...it is a nice place though...

Kevin, I live down in Alicante...never been robbed and very sorry to hear you have. Police just haven't got the resources unfortunately...they would never trace them anyway. Hope you don't let it spoil your trip...Spain is a great country.

Unlucky Kevin, I've been to Spain twice this year ,Malaga and Calpe via Alicante (Martyn!) without incident, though years ago in my twenties I went to benalmadena with a girlfriend and out hotel room got broken into and stuff stolen. If you've been so unlucky,maybe it's the same guys who are following you around hoping to steal some of your songs!

Apparently (according to the Spanish cops) there are gangs that watch for the change over in the rented villas and wait for the new peeps to leave the villa for a look around the area..as you do..they then break in and nick stuff,
this happened to us a few years ago where they just chucked a brick through the kitchen window ( this is in broad daylight) and took stuff..
