You'll Find A Way

Written, Performed and Produced by Adam Harkus

If there's nothing left in all the universe
Nothing left to save
Thinking why through all the years gone by
You turned the other way

Who knows where you'll go or where you'll stay
Dreaming of a place that's miles away
You'll find a way

Are you looking back at all the things you had
There's nothing you could do
It's not too late for all the plans you made
Where all your dreams come true

Who knows where you'll go or where you'll stay
Dreaming of a world so far away
You'll find a way

an accomplished performance of a really good song

vocals are excellent, as is the guitar work
heart of stone, feet of clay, knob of butter

This has become one of my favorites for the competition.  Its really great  The lyrics are solid and the guitar work is perfect.  Very easy to listen to, and more importantly enjoyable.

I loved this.  Haven't taken the time to listen to all the entries yet, but I doubt that anyone has submitted anything that outclasses it.  I thought it was beautiful and listenable.

Thanks for your kind words. It's a very simple song, with a very simple message about someone who has   given up on the future because of past events.

Adam,
Hi lovely guitar and sweet melody in unison.
All supporting the lyrics. Well sung.
Restrained and finishes leaving you wanting more, always a good sign imho.
Good tune
 :)

Very pretty stuff, nice and restrained. Got the feel of one of those, end of album songs which doesn't over sell itself. Just does what it does in a stylish easy going sorta way.

Lovely little song :)

Tom.

Thanks Tom.

The vocals really don't do much, it's the guitar that provides the movement. Having said that, the simplicity of the melody and the shortness of the song sort of forced me into putting more 'into' the vocal performance, rather than just rambling through it.

Really glad it's gone down well. Thank you again.

A very pleasant listen, kinda harks back to the old Richard Thomson Fairport Convention days.

Easy on the ears and refreshingly brief. I wish I could school myself a little more brevity in my own work. :D

This is really lovely Adam :) The vocal/guitar duet is so beautiful, and I think it's just the right length :)
Sweet lyrics as well :)
An excellent 'bare bones' entry  :)

Lovely acoustic sound and picking Adam. Great melody and vocals and it's got that "heart tug" factor as well. Very good stuff

Thanks.   I never seem to be able to get as far as the 3rd verse these days in fear of boring people.
