I'm new to songwriting, I have been going for one month now and have a modest youtube channel:
videos

, where I upload my experimentation.

The first song I ever wrote was uploaded on June 4th 2016 and is called Everything is a Blur.
I wrote this song when I felt depressed and wanted a creative outlet.

I much prefer writing to performing but I do perform my works so that I can share them with other people, thus I make an attempt at singing.

Video:

Lyrics:

Bring my life into focus
Everything is a blur
The night before
The morning after
Everything is a blur

It’s not fair
It’s not fair but the devil’s there

We keep moving forward
Still holding out for happily ever afterward

This song came to me in a dream
Sight unseen
Bring my life into focus
Help me to see
Because
Everything is a blur

There’s no one there
There’s no one there

I’m alright if you’re alright
Let’s rewrite the story so far

If you’re a live then I’m alive
Let’s rewrite the story so far
This song is acoustic
But it’s loud in my heart

Let me show you the scar
Let me show you my art
I’ll show my heart

Baby we were defeated in battle
But we’ll win in peace
In peace we’ll win
In peace we’ll win
In peace we’ll win

Welcome to our wonderful forum, HS! :) I have enjoyed my time here so far very much! I have found the community here to be very supportive.

I notice your music is posted on YouTube, so usually I won't be able to listen to any of it, unfortunately. My internet connection isn't up to it. Once it awhile I get to town and am able to find a place to download some stuff so I can listen when I have time at home, so I'll try to pick up some of yours one of these days.

I look forward to seeing you get involved in the forums!
