Ok guys and gals, here's a BIG ask...

Looking for a female singer and composer (Don't necessarily need to be the same person) to have a crack at some lyrics I wrote some time ago and have sat on the back burner ever since.

If anyone fancies taking on the challenge, I'd love to hear from you  ;D

The lyrics are a bit of a departure from my usual fare, so I have no preconceived ideas about how the song should sound.

Thanks for looking...

Verse 1

Billy's hit the big five-oh
Slave to the bottle
He's let himself go
The doting wife don't understand
Sad Billy no mates
Needs a helping hand.

Verse 2

Jimmy dreams of playing the field
Drenched in cologne
He's rich and well heeled
Spends his nights out on the pull
But Jimmy wants more
His life's become dull

Pre Chorus

Don't despair, don't pout or frown
Little oral Annie won't let you down

Chorus

But you gotta pay to dip the honey pot
Or taste the bearded clam
Quite frankly I don't give damn
If it's wham bam thank you ma'am
Come explore the cave of wonders
Take a ride in the pink canoe
For a pony and a bottle of gin
There ain't nothing I won't do

Verse 3

Frankie struggles to raise a smile
Never found a gal
To take up the aisle
Languishing in the Autumn of life
He's looking for fun
But don't need a wife

Verse 4

Jolly Jacktar sails into port
His girl's back home
He won't get caught
It's a lonely life on the high seas
Just needs some skirt
Who's willing to please

Pre Chorus

Don't despair, don't pout or frown
Little oral Annie won't let you down

Chorus

But you gotta pay to dip the honey pot
Or taste the bearded clam
Quite frankly I don't give damn
If it's wham bam thank you ma'am
Come explore the cave of wonders
Take a ride in the pink canoe
For a pony and a bottle of gin
There ain't nothing I won't do

I remember this from the lyrics forum.  Liked it then, and I like it now.

I looked at a little harder than when it was on the lyric forum, and it would be easy to add a vocal melody to.

If you would like that done (just one step forward) but still without music.  Let me know.

Hey guys. thanks for your replies...

Taking the cowards way out and avoiding having to choose, I would be more than happy if you both want to work on it together.

Let me know your respective thoughts...

Cheers

Steve
