Hi everyone,

Please allow me to offer my new rock track "Sell My Soul" for your consideration! Hope you enjoy, all feedback much appreciated.

You can hear it here:

And here are the lyrics:

SELL MY SOUL

You wanna shout me down,
You’re screaming in my face that I am wrong.
I’m standing loud and proud,
You’ll never break my will to carry on.

Just a broken soul walking an open road,
I feel lost and so far from home,
But I rise, I won’t fall,
Let me hear you say “hey”

I can’t give what you want from me,
‘Cause I don’t see things the way you see,
I can’t be all you want and need,
‘Cause I won’t sell my soul.

I walk this world alone,
Don’t answer to nobody else but me,
And half my friends have gone,
Now mindless servants of society.

Just a broken soul but I ain’t letting go,
I’m beat down ‘til my head explodes

But I rise, I won’t fall,
Let me hear you say “hey”

I can’t give what you want from me,
‘Cause I don’t see things the way you see,
I can’t be all you want and need,
‘Cause I won’t sell my soul.

SOLO

Just a broken soul walking an open road,
I feel lost and so far from home,
But I rise, I won’t fall.

I said a-hey,
I can’t give what you want from me,
‘Cause I don’t see things the way you see,
I can’t be all you want and need, oh yeah.
I said a-hey,
I can’t give what you want from me,
‘Cause I don’t see things the way you see,
I can’t be all you want and need,
‘Cause I won’t sell my soul.

Hi - not sure why this hasn't got any comments yet. It looks like you've given feedback as well...

This rocks. Full stop. Its a genre thing, so if you love classic rock with a classic delivery this is for you. Very well produced and delivered. And shredding guitar...cant fault it  :D

Hello!

Sounds good. The instrumentation is very classic and works very nice. You've got a great voice! The mix is also very clean.

Cheers!

With love

F*****k I nearly went through the wall when I heard the intro. Great heavy metal stuff. Your vocals are superb and great arrangement and production. Great work  :)

woooh i bet you wear leather trousers!
big meaty production on this ...herds of wild bovine guitars & beefy roast vocals
& omg the solos got more notes than a cube of post its!
i thought the 'heys' were a bit cheesy... i dont think i could shout out hey anymore than i already have :)

the trouble with classic rock is its for people with air guitars & i havent got one :(
but i applaud you giving the proceeds to dementia uk
Tell me Im wonderful & I ll be nice to you :)

Oh I love me a good old Rock song!! The production on this is superb. The harmonies are great. It does sound like it was written for the eighties though. (Nothing wrong with that as I love 80's rock) the guitar work, especially in the break is freakin excellent and my ears loved it! The vocals are well sung, however if I have one small observation it is that in the pre chorus/chorus the two lines "I feel lost and so far from home" & "I'm beat down til my head explodes" the meter of those words to me sounds slightly off with the beat? I'm happy to be wrong but I think that those lines need adjusting somehow, either by adding something else like "I feel so lost and I'm faaaar from home" does that make sense? Maybe stretching the words a little, just to make it flow better.

Anyway,well done man,it's a great rock track!

Great sound Daniel. Really sounds pro track. Not my thing now.....I had my 'metal' period when Budgie were playing the circuit way back!

Really catchy song with some great hooks. All vocals are really well done. Great solo, not too long....just right.

Nicely done.
Take it easy.

You can check my stuff out here. Mini-album getting bigger slowly. Free download if you're poorer than me.

A great example of the genre. Every time I hear your vox, daniel I'm reminded of Graham Bonnet and that's no insult.

I dunno why tinam said she had no air guitar...everyone has one of those, whip it out and use it!  :D

Hey! Thank you all very much for the comments, very much appreciated! Tinam is right, I do in fact own leather trousers, although haven't worn them for a few years now lol.

But I have checked, and apparently, it's not actually possible to have too many 'heys' in a rock track. So I'm told, anyway... :) :)
