Not necessarily my sort of thing musically but some standout lyrics here:

"I knew him ... back when he wore two shoes"
"the tracks on her arms have robbed her of her charms"
etc.etc.

Great writing!

Hey Toney,

I loved this mate.Your voice is perfect,so full of character & charm and is what sells the song for sure.Dont get me wrong the music is lovely too,it does a great job of accompanying you but also staying out of your way.

No nits from me.Cool song!

omg  how many bottles of whiskey do you have to smoke to get a voice like that?
im trying to imagine what you sound like when you get a sore throat!  :)
anyway your voice certainly sounds qualified to sing a song about the road of broken dreams
now im not a country fan usually ...but if a normal country song is a story book full of plain text then that voice of yours put colour pictures in this one!

country songs have a lot of heartbreak & sadness in them & everybody ends up hitting the bottle
maybe the characters in your song were country fans
Tell me Im wonderful & I ll be nice to you :)

This is absolutely flippin excelent Toney. Love the atmos that you conjure up at it's so laid back it's on the floor. Your voice is amazing just suits the song down to a tee and think the lyrics are great as well. A real winner for me.

As everyone has been positive - which the song deserves - For my taste, the Eeyorish lugubrious delivery needs an edge of redemption in it if you perform this live, Just sayin'.
