Oh well...

i went to see a friends band supporting Bruce Foxtons "From The Jam" on friday night...and crammed myself right at the front with another good friend of mine...

i loved it...like really loved it. i miss whacking out all those Jam and other punky songs really loudly...next day, i read an advert that my old band "six nowt" were parting company with the guy who replaced me when i left just over a year ago and were looking for a singer/guitarist.

i couldn't help myself and just dived back in. first gig is friday night...no rehearsals or anything...sorry i've been a bit behind on the forum in the last couple of weeks...been busy with an acoustic duo who's first gig is on saturday night...so it's all go at the minute

so my writing's taking a bit of a back seat for now  :)

Good lad PaulAds.

I'm just coming out of that particular rabbit hole, where I'm finished gigging for now, after a busy last 5 years,so I hope to have more time to write now!

Embrace the change and go enjoy yourself.  8)

I love me some Telecaster,so much so that I build them! I love the sound of a Rick too,but for me the tele is more versatile,if your stuff is varied.

Very tasty, those tele's - really nice :)

Yeah...it's always been Ricky's and Tele's for me...I like this USA deluxe one I have now...the s1 switching is handy as I don't use any effects and just roll off the volume to clean it up a bit and then whack it up and flip the switch for solos.

We play The Jam, The Clash, Specials, The Who, Madness, Costello, Stranglers, Damned, Buzzcocks etc...just guitar/bass/drums

Good luck Paul with the gigs Paul.

I am with Skub, I have a tele and a ricky (used to put them through an Orange amp too!) and I love them both but for gigging the tele seems more flexible. My tele is also as good deal lighter  :)

That is what appeals about the Elite Tele's (effectively the replacement of the USA Deluxe) which have the 4th Generation noiseless pickups and the S1 switching
