I wanted to tip you all off to this wonderful documentary on music producers

Music Moguls: Masters of Pop - Melody Makers

It is on BBC iPlayer and originally shown on BBC4

There is an amazing part where David Bowie's "Heroes" is deconstructed a bit and a really clever technique is discussed where they only had 1 track left for Bowie's vocal but still managed to get different sounds on his vocal for different parts- I won't spoil how

There are loads of golden nuggets throughout and it is also a fantastic "potted history" of pop music

Great tip, both the episodes so far (Managers and Producers) have been excellent. Third one (PR) is on TV on 29th/30th Jan.

If interested get in quick as on iPlayer they expire after a few weeks.
