With my abilities of speaking six languages, this is my first attempt at using both a foreign language with English.

Verse:
People have told me,
Life is just a story,
It’s how it all plays out.
I feel no oppression,
Sometimes, I question,
How to clear my doubt.

Bridge:
And there will always be someone,
Who tells me I’m wrong,
I’m not defying against everyone,
Because I need be strong.

Chorus:
我想你 [wǒ xiǎng nǐ]
Since you left me,
我想你 [wǒ xiǎng nǐ]
My mind can't agree.
The heaven confides,
Hold tears back inside
One day, we’ll reunite,
我想你 [wǒ xiǎng nǐ]

Verse:
我心痛, [wǒ xīntòng]
No, I’m not wrong,
Need to move along,
這不重要, [zhè bù chóng yào]
Just don’t ask how,
I can’t say for now.

Bridge:
There will always be someone,
To tell me to move on.
I’m not feeling against everyone,
Not easy, you’re gone.

Chorus:
我想你 [wǒ xiǎng nǐ]
Since you left me,
我想你 [wǒ xiǎng nǐ]
My mind can't agree.
The heaven confides,
Hold tears back inside,
One day, we’ll reunite,
我想你 [wǒ xiǎng nǐ]

I've also got a Cantonese version of a chorus which I've written:

我想你 [ngo5 soeng2 nei5]
Nothing left to say,
我想你 [ngo5 soeng2 nei5]
Going my own way,
I’m keeping my pride,
Hold tears back inside
I stood side by side,
我想你 [ngo5 soeng2 nei5]

Funny that you use more languages, I like that! Did you also record the song and put it on this forum?

I've not recorded it yet, no. I'm actually still trying to put it to a melody as such. I've not sang for a few months so my voice is a little rusty  :-\

I love it! so much meaning. And i love the uniqueness of it! incorporating two languages into one song to make it rhyme. Brilliant

I want to hear this set to music. I hope you'll post an update here when it's on SoundCloud, so I can go hear it.

Thank you, I think it's something that's stuck with from high school, I always was writing poetry so I feel the need to make things rhyme.

Thanks for all the comments everyone, still trying to figure out a 'sound' to it as such, but I've been away from playing music that long I'm a bit rusty.   :-[

I think this will sound really cool sung, and put to music :) It's interesting that you have a bridge
right after the first verse...that's unusual :)
I think the subject is very compelling and your lyrics relate it well :) :)

Thank you  :)

Only problem I usually have in my head with writing song is, I "hear" how I want to sound but I can't seem to 'translate' it when it comes to actually putting it together.

Like the same concept of saying that I can't read a language.  ???
