Every year this site that I am on does an Oscars-style awards ceremony to honor the best songs released that year on the site.
And my song, "We Made It to the Middle" won the "Golden Kayak" for
Best Song of the Year—Country
It's voted on by the other artists at the site. So, very flattering, as there are a ton of really great artists over there.
Yeah, in the long run, awards like this don't mean anything. But it sure is nice to hear that folks are digging what I'm doing.
