 Guys,

Check it out, it's the best guitar I've played for ages.  Excellent
 tone, so easy to play.

It's sooooo good ;D ;D Can't recommend it enough. If you get the
chance , try it out.  If you're an electric gtr player, you'll love it  ;D ;D

It's so cheap. for what it is ......I think they'll discontinue
 it soon, it's that cheap !!! They've made a mistake here I'm sure.  I've
got gtrs that cost three times as much and don't sound/play as good !!

 Really guys....it's bloody amazing ;D ;D

 Had to tell somebody ;D ;D ;D

Bin, nice when we can we hear you and your new muse?

Fender's Squier do some great tele's too the classic vibe and vintage modified are great value around £300 or less, model dependant.

Nice one, can't go wrong with a Tele  :)

Wasn't long ago Baja's were £389, that's low inflation for you  ??? :o

Tele fan here, too. I have a Mexican 72 Custom Re-Issue - it's the one that has the humbucker by the neck pickup. I think Keith Richards played one, as did my first ever guitar hero Mick Green. That's good enough for me. I also have a Tokai Breezysound from the 80's in Paisley Pink - a copy of the one played by James Burton in Elvis's band :-)  Tried a Baja and they're a superb instrument, too. Could be happy with one of those.

Everything you can expect from a Telecaster at a very competitive price.

Congrats on your new purchase!! I'm due for a new guitar, myself. The last guitar I bought was a custom edition 1957 Fender Hotrod Strat (Candy apple red) in 2007 when they came out. Loved it then, still do.
I have to ask.....a question that has been on my mind for some time now  :-[.....why are the telecasters always talked about, without much mention of the Strats ??? I've played them in the guitar shops.....is it something I'm missing?? is there a guitar technique that the telecaster masters?? Is there some tonal quality that is realized by everyone but me?? So many of todays guitar heros have posters with them strapping on a Tele  8)  Gotta be something there, right :P
What is it that is in the "today" teles that make it sooooo special. If they are something really special, then maybe I aught to get one  :-\

Sincerely......

I have been playing a Strat for over 25 years (having previously owned a Tele) so I would consider myself a "Strat Man"

However, I recently treated myself to a 2016 Telecaster Elite and I definitely approach playing it differently

A Tele just feels like a "workhorse" to me and I approach playing it as such - IE digging in a bit more and playing a bit more loose

My Strat is a little more refined

It is difficult to put the difference in to words so this analogy may help...

A Tele is like the girl you would meet in a club and spend the night with - but it is the Strat you would take home to meet your parents and marry  ;)

Neither is "better", just different, and you can have the best of both worlds without getting in to trouble or having bits of your anatomy cut off (depending how many you buy of course  ::))

OI, ARE YOU CALLING MY GUITAR A SLAG? :o

I know what you mean though - the reason I prefer a tele is because they feel more robust, like you can really take advantage of their dynamic range. Plus the fixed bridge means tuning is more reliable, and that neck pickup - YEAH!
