Nice songwriting! I could see this tune in a emotional scene in a movie or similar. The guitar sounds really good in the mix, but the shaker is a bit out of sync at some places.

I liked the shaker - but I assume I am listening to the "fixed" version

The acoustic guitar tone is nice a "woody" and I liked the mix between them and the swirling synths

I agree about changing the string sound to more of an organ or pad

I also agree with pruning it down a little
