I take it you won't be worried about the proposal to amend the posting rule to only one song per month then.

Only one minute of despair? Surely that in itself is worth more than two minutes of hope?

What the hell is gain staging? No, don't tell me. I've managed without it so far and who knows how long I've got left to live.
Take it easy.

You can check my stuff out here. Mini-album getting bigger slowly. Free download if you're poorer than me.

Yeah my despair time is much higher, plus it takes time to get my dog to shut up :)

Adam,

You left out rebooting the computer a few times when the DAW crashes.

Cables, cables, cables! At this very moment I have two guitar leads and a mic lead wrapped around the castors on my chair like boa constrictors. Nothing to do with me being untidy.  ::)

What about 20 seconds to swear and reconnect the headphones when you've hit record, stood up to start to do a vocal take, tread on the cable and inadvertently yank the phones out of the audio interface just as you're about to start that great vocal take?

Absolutely spot on mate  :) also re recording vocals as the dog has just seen a cat in the garden. Left a bit of that in on one track. Just put an effect on it  ::)

Nice to know I am not the only one - and even that it could be worse as I haven't yet had barking dogs or crashing DAWs...

Add in a few retakes for ticking clock (only a problem if not using 120 bpm!) and lately GuitarTuna bonging during playing (at least something must have been in tune then...)

Ask my wife why she unplugged all my cables when she illegally cleaned my studio :o
move the dog out of the soundbooth ::)
why does my guitar smell of polish for crissaks!!
realise that all the cables have been coiled and put in a draw..to be tidy..
who the heck tunes guitars?  just sing in tune with the guitar..whatsamarrawifya ??? ??? ::)
sing an awesome take and realise I didn't arm the channel to record.. ::)
DAW crash just after a great idea that has gone when puter is switched on again.. >:( >:(
realise it's a waste of yer actual life and find summat else to do during which a great idea pops into one's head so mad dash back to studio...
move dog out of soundbooth...and at that instance realise he's chewing your dongle...

I never learn..Kevin :)
