I'm writing about dogs while you do cats - what a hoot!
Really liked the concept and flow. Liked the near rhyme jungle and trouble - brilliant!
And your "mane" man - really clever!
A few things came to mind - keep or sweep:

Title could be "My Little Lioness" to give more info with just one extra word.
I send them on their way - gives an internal rhyme of send/them.
Then I double up my loving
So you won’t ever need to stray

You might need a show of force

Looking forward to hearing this to music
