No way @Jamie, you have just undone years of therapy mentioning that King Crimson album. My best mate at the time, far more sophisticated than me, had it. As an impressionable young kid,  I actually had nightmares about the horrible, demonic face on that album cover. Plus that disturbing sounding track ‘21st Century Schizoid Man’ unsettled me too. 😉 …Mind, I think that demon of that album must have actually possessed you and you must now forever knock out prog rock tunes as ‘The Master’ has ordered of you! Explains everything… 👍

And yes @pompeyjazz, it would at least be worth a chat. We are mostly all big kids on here after all. 😉
My latest novel: pls check it out!

‘Gavin & The Bodysnatchers’, a quirky comedy crime thriller. Easily found on Amazon.

It's your fault that I have had Old Amsterdam stuck in my head all day @MichaelA
Other faves on Junior Choice were...
Sparkys magic piano - That was fucking weird !
Follow the yellow brick road
Right said Fred
Nellie the elephant - trumpety trump trump trump
Hello Morher, hello Father
Morning town ride
The laughing policeman
And the one where the kid goes to the zoo and gets eaten by a lion, I can't remember the title

I hope that you sleep well  ;D

Sorry about that @pompeyjazz. I just had a YouTube listen to one or two of these. I must admit I liked them better when I was about eight. But maybe eight year old me had more taste. It’s hard to say really!

@MichaelA

Yes Michael, the cover of that KC album is one of a kind. Yes 21st century schizoid man is a fab song too, and yes it sort of does explain a lot  :o 8)

Cheers

Batchelor Boy by Cliff Richards (as my Nana used to call him), what a hook (the song not Mr Richards) Played on my green Dansette, with a long middle spindle that would hold the record up and then it would flop down on to the turntable...and of course fluff on the needle. (for that now exclusive analogue Retro lo fi sound)
