Love the nice melodic guitar lines as usual. That riff is a nice motif through the first part...and into the first solo.....slick! Second half guitar echoing the vocal line is neat.

Fave parts are those with the rising backing vox in first bit...sound great....as does your vocal Paul.

The breakdown vox shook me a bit! Monstrous! Chilling with those backing vox there.

The two movement song works for me.....first movement was my favourite though. Aren't I a boring git?!
Take it easy.

You can check my stuff out here. Mini-album getting bigger slowly. Free download if you're poorer than me.

This is a brilliant track.

The guitar riff is such a great hook, absolutely brilliant. The vocals are great and great to hear Vicki on BVs. It's a really great rocking track and an excellent collab. Production top notch as usual.

I think the lyrics are outstanding and such a sad topic :( you've done very well here. I wasn't 100% taken with the affected vocal two thirds in but after a few listens it's grown on me and now knowing the story it's sounding really sinister!!

Top work both!! :)

Hey Paul and Vicki,

Doubt I even need to listen.. already know it's going to be great!

Cool lyrics, you havn't said who contibuted exactly what, but I feel a bit of the pair of you in them and it comes together very nicely.

Have heard the original Clash track now, but still not your original bash which sparked the competition. Not sure if already making one would be more of a hinderance to shake off, or a bit of extra practice ;)

Great diriving vocals and lovely accompanyment also. Break comes across nicwely and the 'beast' voice is bloody cool. Drove me to a quick read up on the story which is unpleasant reading, but what a great ode you have here - and the lyrics hit harder as a result.

All the best,
Scott.

I always enjoy working with PaulAds, and I really appreciate all the complimentary comments. Thanks for all the feedback! ;D ;D ;D

Now I'm going to get brave and pass the SoundCloud link on to Jerry, Jacob's dad, and see what he thinks of it.

I really hope it doesn’t upset him too much. And please pass on my best wishes.

Nice one guys! I love the guitars! Man they kick ass! Great lyrics...I’m assuming they’re Vickis?? If not then I can only assume she’s the beast bit that comes in towards the end?? Hahaha! Jokes!  ;)

Catchy stuff! I did find the beast bit a bit loud in the mix, but that’s all I’ve got. Great singing man.  ;D

woah! - that was energetic  ;D
Lots to like here - love the vocals, the bgv's and of course the guitars.
Perfect alignment with the drum track.
Great melody lines.
Good production too.
Kind of missed a lyrical hook but that's just me.
Good work both  ;D ;D

Hey
Unfortunately I've come to this song after most of the others, so I've heard a fair few riff-heavy/punky songs in a row now! The riff is cool, but doesn't have too much to separate it from the other riff-y entries.
The little fill at 1:13 is great - it's a shame it doesn't feature again.
The harmonies at 1:30 are also great.
I think the song could've been better by introducing those two elements (harmonies and that fill) right away in the first verse so we get to hear them more than once and the first verse holds more interest - I felt it only really really got going after about a minute

The vocal effects at ~1.40 dont work for me - I'm listening on buds though and the phasing and panning make the vocal almost incomprehensible - sounds a bit weird but granted the fact I'm listening on crappy buds plugged into a crappy laptop are contributing to that

Lyrics wise, I love the last verse, really great lyrics in that.
