Man there's some good stuff being posted on this forum lately!
I loved the way this plays with the reader's take on their relationship.
Will she or won't she respond to his advances? You don't reveal the outcome nor should you.
One small sugg would be to reword "her flower garden would outstand in front of their house with a view". Maybe something like "her flower garden, it would stand afront their mansion with a view". Might also consider adding a bridge. Or not, if you like it as is.
