Does anyone think it would be a good idea to have some sort of flag system to indicate if you have already reviewed a song. There are so many great songwriters on here now & I try & review everyone if possible but it is so difficult to keep track without going to each song & finding out you have already reviewed it, lol. It is probably me just getting old & stupid but it would be a handy aid for the likes of me.
Apologies if I have not reviewed anyones song yet but I am ploughing my way through the list,,,,,, :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

This seems like a pretty good idea actually...

Is there a way the poster can tick a box of some sort when they post a review that denotes that post as a review? If so, can there also be an indicator beside thread titles of whether such a box has been ticked by you in that thread already?

Seems like it might be beyond the capabilities of the forum's programming, but still it would be a good idea to try and get working...

Um, apologies if I am being dumb here and misunderstand what you guys are after... but such a system is in place and automatic.

At the bottom of each individual forum there is a key

This key states that if you have posted in a thread, an arrow appears next to the speaker icon down the left hand side. Hey presto! You can see at a glance if you have reviewed a song or not.

I keep up with posts by following the link at the top of the forum that states "Show unread posts since last visit". I then click on the threads that don't have an arrow next to them, as they are completely new to me. Next comes the threads I have posted on but wanna keep up with. And those left I simply click "Mark read". And voila. All tidy!

I use exactly that, but then again I don't always comment with a review...

Hi James,

as Corsair said, I also use that but it doesn't mean that you have posted, I think, it just shows that you have listened to it. I often go through stuff just listening & go back & have another listen before posting.

This key tells me which thread I have posted in, and which I have not

Look for the small grey speaker symbol which runs down the very left hand side of the forum. It is two columns to the left of the Subject/Author column.

The key explaining this is at the very bottom of each forum page in a dark grey box. (It is not on the homepage, just on each forum page.... reviews, lyrics, the bar, etc)

If there is a small, white arrow over the speaker, you have posted in that thread.

Dude we understand that fully, however a post does not necessarily mean a review for some of us. I myself have posted in threads saying 'I'll give this a review later'. Knowing whether we've posted in a thread and knowing whether we've reviewed in a thread are totally different things. We're wanting an extra feature that lets us see if we've posted a review.

I think you have the system down Corsair (and have your own valid but different request, to define a "post" as a "review" :)) but I don't think Songsmith has it down....

.... I also use that but it doesn't mean that you have posted, I think, it just shows that you have listened to it. I often go through stuff just listening & go back & have another listen before posting.

Songsmith seems to have a different view of what the symbols mean - there is no symbol for "listened to" - which is why I am pointing out the key once again. I am only trying to help  ;D ;D
