Feedback on Finished songs / Re: The First Hello

Well I'm not even middle aged - I'm an old b*****d!! But I totally got off one this one. It's really catchy and would go down great live. I couldn't dance when I was young enough and I'd probably do myself a mischief if I tried now, but I was tempted!! Seriously this is another great track. No crits at all from me. :)

Haha. Thanks @ChrisPrice

I can't dance either :)

The first hello can be aimed at teenagers , Age has nothing to do with it
Good job man , all tight in the right places

Thanks, Elvis.

Morning John @pompeyjazz

The production on this is up to your usual high standards.

I listened to it twice. The first time without reading the lyrics and my first impressions was that it is a good song, but would benefit from a strong chorus.

I listened again, this time reading the lyrics and noted that what I assumed to be the verse, you refer to as the chorus and what I thought was the bridge was in fact the verse.

To me, this could be. elevated into a truly great song if you halved what you call the chorus sections and then after what you call the verse sections, go into a big melodic chorus :)

Just my opinion!!!

Dig that jazzy 3/4 feel @moraamarolaloba and the lofi drums fit in really well. As usual there's a great element of experimentation in your songs and they could never be called conventional - That's brilliant. I love some of the synth ear candy that is floating around in the background too - Super stuff as always

Gracias @pompeyjazz much appreciated.

Quite the rocker.
I like those dynamic guitars starting with muting then ringing out.
There's like a threat in the voice.
It somehow sounds angry and young.
The photo is a bit off-putting, healthy balanced kids in denim.

The song is a fine thing, o hope not autobiographical.
Cheers!

You have an endearing, warm and weary voice
Expressing sentiments of going back to your hometown,
really resonates
The production is smooth and classy.
 The song sounds familiar, somehow.
Fabulous lyrics 👌

You are pushing your boundaries.
And you’ve not started the uni course!?
I'm surprised you're not teaching there.
September is months away!
Yes, the forum has changed. Was it the scamdemic?

I like the song
The backing vocals are unusual.
Is there a reverse reverb in there?
Keep em coming John.

Great storytelling and
fine unusual imagery in this one.
Relatable characters
Really is like a film, an alternate reality
that seems to follow you when you've left the cinema.
Good work.
