Ok here are my nominees for July song of the month in no particular order...iv`e tried to strike a balance of styles ,so if i left you out, sorry...there`s always next month ;)
BTW,,i`ve tried re-posting the links but they seem to go dead,,so you will have to look them up in finished songs section.

I honestly can't believe this wasn't included in the nominations. http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/song-reviews/watch-you-fall/ IMO it's song of the month by a long way ???

There`s a rule about how many posts a person as made to be entered..and since Alexmo is at busker level he couldn`t be entered....also he`s not the only one with a good song i had to ignore...
Also .....the decision of the months `judge`shouldn`t be questioned....if your song isn't picked..sorry but that`s the way it is. ;)

Been noted...that`s 7 now,,i`ve just listened to them all and cast mine....was very hard..really..but
one did standout ,just a little more than the rest...spoke to me it did. :)

Its not an easy task narrowing down all the months songs to just a handful. You have done well STC, I am listening to them all today and will vote later.

One piece of advice...... start planning on who to hand the batton onto now, and be prepared for a few turndowns before someone accepts.

I just picked the 5 best songs out of what was eligible ..nothing to do with acoustica as you say......if they had been electric based they would have got in..it`s all about the melodies..and maybe acoustic guitar brings them out?
Anyway i look forward to ur vote ;)

I choose not to enter songs submitted to other competitions on the board..don`t know why,,,just thought at the time it was the right thing to do,,so yes i closed the `bar` a tad early...i`m sure if they read your comment it will bring some satisfaction for them,,,,,if i had have considered it ,it would have created a real problem having to leave out one of the others....maybe soon you can have a go and if it`s a strong month like this one,,have my headache...like i said before there was 2/3 from the busker fraternity i had had to ignore and they were hot!
Just an update...8 votes counted and every entry as a at least a vote although there is an early leader....i need more votes,,theirs plenty of you OUT THERE!!.

haha yeah i see i suppose it makes sense to exclude competition songs as they are part of a seperate voting thing and get their own limelight somewhere along the line!
hmm not sure if i fancy having a headache for a month like haha :D :D

Don't really have time to go through everything at the moment hopefully in the next few days but im just wondering, how many members are there on this forum i mean there's a number in the Forum Stats which reads 45755 Posts in 5110 Topics by 2373 Members, is 2373 Members the total if it is that's a awful lot of PM to send plus it could take you a few months to even type their names., even half that number. :o
Or are you just talking about the members who just posted in July, i would really like to know Thanks. ???

Don't worry, I've already got my notebook full of song reviews, for all the songs that have been posted this month, but at the end of the day it is the forum's song of the month, so I want to know what the forum thinks...
After the complaints that seem to appear after the nominations are decided, I just think it'll stop people complaining if they have a little power, right?

I agree with Dutchy here....just pick the 5 you think are the best!..it might mean theres one or two who have a gripe,,,but it`s part of the fun....i`m sure the best 5 (who qualify ) are pretty obvious....

No complaining .. it's a matter of taste .. but some time as a nominator .. getting out of the usual .. needs practice .. maybe something you will like which is not your thing ..

Rap is not my thing .. but there is many I've heard where great .. so listen to them in a out of the box make me feel the song better .. I'm saying this as an example .. :D :D

I think as the nominator of the month you should have the option of asking forum members what songs are their favourites...of course you have the choice of which ones you what to choose out of them, and forum members have to respect that :) :) :)
