i'm the ghost of you
and i know what you do
i know your every move
'cause i'm on it
i know what you think
i know your favorite drink
i know your favorite kink
'cause i'm on it
spectral finder keeper fees, a percentage of your nectar
cut and pasted alibis
cataracted in your eyes
colder than a midnight sun
never seen by any anyone
welcome to your stupid face
the one you had on yesterday
the one that never goes away
like leprosy and/or genital herpy herpes
you're the death of me
you are my one disease
and i'm your effigy
don't you even think
that you'll have time to blink
that you'll have time to think
i'm the ghost of you oh....
i know what you think
i know your favorite drink
i know your favorite kink
'cause i'm on it
vivisectioned monkey head trip mirror-image death trip tease
why are you here???
why are you here???
why are you here???
why are you here???

Hi Darren...WOW!!...first I've heard from you on this forum...quite the production...it's very cool for this type of genre...I don't really feel qualified to give any detailed critique...the only thing is, I had a hard time understanding your lyrics...if they weren't in front of me I wouldn't really know what you were saying through most of it...but maybe that doesn't matter...it's more about the over all experience...which is awesome...thanks for this share :)

ABV ;D ;D ;D....Great to see a post from you when I logged on
OUT FKN STANDING mate ;D ;D Amazing song. Love your style, the performance and musicianship is top class. I want to be in your band ;D ;D ;D Nothing to say, except Thanks for sharing this ;D

Great riff, playing and production. Sounds like lots of effort all paid off.
Love it when the lead erupts at 2.54 and of course the classic ending!
Personally I can never get my head around those non-standard rhythms..
My only thought is I'd like to hear one of your songs with more of a distinctive chorus
Evil, heavy psycho, Zep rock.
Brilliant
:)

Hi Darren,
Quality, as ever. I was listening to Alice In Chains the other day and it made me think we'd not heard from you in a while. Nice to hear something new.
Chunky riffs, splash of Kashmir. Loved the solo.
Nice one.

so happy that you are BACK!!!
I missed your music and input on this forum, Virus....
a typical ABV production, love how you mix these vocals all over the place, and make them itch....
but on first listen...no easy, go happy chorus on this one this time ;D ;D ;D ;D
but great stuff, extremely weird but great

Great to have toy back Daren
As usual - one word
AWESOME!!!!
You know even though your songs are heavy - I can always hear the Beatles ;D
You are the man- respect ;D
-
Ha ha just noticed you put the Beatles in the title
Doh!
-
Great to see you posting again - it's been too long.
Firstly, the lyrics are wonderful; particularly liked this:
cut and pasted alibis
cataracted in your eyes
colder than a midnight sun
never seen by any anyone
The usual, dense, dark production with George's trademark drums. Fabulous level of musicianship, arrangement and production.
Everything you do just reeks of quality. No suggestions, it is perfect as it is.
Welcome back.

Man this outstanding. Great post Darren, even a deaf dude would love this its all class. The arrangement is super, I wouldn't even know where to begin to get some of the effects you have used on the vocals.
Welcome back
Allan.

wow gee & thanks for all this valuable feedback! truly miss this forum my two jobs r killing me!
still working on the mix - we have the unofficial master up on youTube now - warmer kids/ more bass and pick attack on bass / better drum presence - think this is the one going to iTunes - lot of horses to tame in this one ;p
going for a modern zeppelin but dark feel i think in terms of vision and dynamics/ aural stereo spacing with flavor of analog- some beatles influence mos def ;p

Hi, first time i've heard you. You're great!! Great riffs, great song. My only concern is the AIC style vocal. Do you wanna be remembered for being the band with great songs or being the band that sounds like AIC?
-
good stuff ABV heavy and dark...like a freight train zooming past me...... ;)

lol I was so trying to not emulate bluntly - but truth be told I was layering my vocals back in 90s as my voice is relatively thin and nasally raw so I got in habit of using 'sung chords' to make more lush and full sounding - is this track really too AIC ? I saw it as more zeppelin, black sabbath etc -
Thanks for your candor I'm simply curious --

sweet! :)

Guitar was a bit Tom morello in places, good shit. Lyrics and vocals were a bit scary ;D
-
Brilliant stuff Abv , I don't really hear Zep apart from the drums. I hear ABV 8)

you made my day with Tom Morello reference !!! :) :)

Hey Darren
I have been looking forward to listening to this one
Great stuff!
I love the melodies of the vocals dancing around and intertwining with the riffin' geetars!
I love the "any anyone" line
The only thing I will mention is that the track sounds a little "quiet" and "lacklustre" until the lead guitar kicks in at around 2.56 - and then seems to fade away again at 3.40 ??
I know you like getting your production spot on and it is just missing something either side of the guitar solo for me
Interesting fade out - fade in - fade out - fade in - fade out! - suitably mental!
Overall though - Great stuff!
-
hi darren. love this track. excellent solo and epic production. puts me in mind of Alice In Chains. Like the upfront bass ;D keep it up.
-
Really good song and production. Understand the references quoted but I also thought Slipknot and QOTSA. Good stuff :-)
