Hey Andy

Looking forward to hearing your tracks when it isn't stupid 0 clock in the morning and I can have some volume! (I always wake up very early) Been up since 4.45am this morning. Isn't that when other people go to bed on a saturday night? :D Oh well! Always been a party animal, me haha!

Welcome to the forum :)

Hi Andy
Thanks for joining up - and for sharing your music with us.  We could do with someone a bit more rock as so far we seem to be made up of mainly acoustic type folks!
See you on the boards :)

Hey Andy
Where did you get your recordings done?  I have started to make a few home demos on my computer using cakewalk, but I don't know how to get the clarity your recordings have?
Also, welcome to the forum !

We used a Tascam 4-track cassette Portastudio for most of our recordings, then made them into wavs by copying them onto Ableton Live-lite (free software with a Toneport UXII).
I got a friend to master them for us on the cheap. They're still a bit raw, but I think that kind of suits most of the songs.
I'm quite a fan of homerecording. In future, I'm hoping to go all digital, but I was having some audio drop problems with my computer so went with the Portastudio instead.

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody.

Wow - I can't believe you used cassette for this recording - I've ended up with more hiss on digital recordings many a time.  I look forward to hearing what you can do with digital gear.

A lot of it's down to mic. positioning and the types of mics you use and so on.
It's good to experiment.
