Hi Everyone

Been lurking for a while and thought it was time to join in the fun...

I have been playing in bands for over 20 years (lead guitar and vocals)


If you are curious this is me in my covers band as a pub in Kent - that is me on the right playing guitar and shrieking!

This year I have decided to focus on my songwriting and I have an ambition to get a song published this year!

I have lots of ideas and a bulging "hook book" but I need to start turning these into marketable songs

My focus as a songwriter is therefore from a more "commercial" angle - however this is a completely new approach for me so it feels like I am starting from scratch

I therefore thought it would be fun to join the forum here to "chart" my progress by submitting my early tunes (that I am not completely happy with) and hopefully submit improved songs each time until I can churn out hit after hit  ::)  ;D

I have developed my own resources (from lots of research into writing hit songs) that I plan to use to develop my songs, which I would be happy to share if they work!

I am also looking forward to reviewing the songs of others but felt I should post some of my own first, which if all goes well I plan to do later on this evening!!

I am looking forward to getting to know you all and I have really enjoyed the songs I have listened to so far
