I hope that you're all enjoying listening to the selection of fabulous songs posted on the forum in May. Here are the rules for voting.....
Below you will see a link to an online form that will allow you to nominate your top 3 songs
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScAqg8iZ9ZeMoj-ib-3xjUBHsaRlrbNwRtYqmbrlhEbNpKkAQ/viewform?usp=sf_link
1. Please nominate your top 3 songs
2. You can't vote for your own song !
3. Please only vote once
4. Anybody can vote, even if you didn't post a song in May
5. Voting closes at midnight UK time on 15th June and the winners will be announced shortly afterwards
Good luck to all and I hope that the voting process is relatively simple. In case of any problems you can send a PM to @pompeyjazz (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20269) and @PaulyX (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=21034) with details of your choices
Enjoy :)

Pleased to say that the voting system seems to be working :) Had 3 responses so far - BTW, they are anonymous so I don't know who has voted for you - @StevieJ (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=22834) I certainly seem to be getting votes OK so I can assume that all is working OK - Cheers All :)

Voted. Big shout out to @pompeyjazz (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20269) for all the legwork in working out how to use survey software for this. We hope it'll be easier to administer going ahead than SOTM used to be... no one has to shortlist, it is easier to just click to vote rather than PM someone, all songs are in with a chance, etc. So please make the time to exercise your democratic rights and vote!

@pompeyjazz (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20269) - Brilliant! Wayyy better, voted.
Thanks very much for finally coming up with a solution.
Wish everyone the best of luck.

Somebody voted 3 times at 18:35 tonight with the same song in first and second place and another song in 3rd place - I'm going to have to disregard that vote I'm afraid :)

Well done @pompeyjazz (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20269) and @PaulyX (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=21034) for putting in the time coming up with the format and playlists etc. I have voted!😁
Great job!!

@MonnoDB (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=19820) Thanks Karen. I got a notification about a vote coming in although I don't know who the vote is from. What does everyone think about the new format ? Would be interesting to know your feedback 😀

Hey @pompeyjazz (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20269) - works well I think... Only sugg is I'd be tempted to add a "tell me who you are" field - maybe not mandatory.. but it might help with accidental duplicate votes.. I think most people would be happy to declare who they are.. and if they don't want to, they don't have to...
Well done guys - thanks for going to all the trouble!

@MonnoDB (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=19820) That's a really good idea Karen. I'll try and implement that suggestion and hopefully we can use the same form for future events. Thanks so much :)

Hi John, much quicker and easier system. I agree with Karen, Identifying yourself is a good idea. Maybe other things will come out of the woodwork as we use it, but so far so good!
Cheers guys for working it out!

An update on this month's SOTM. It's turning out to be an interesting competition with lots of songs receiving votes. It's tight at the top. We've received votes now from 11 people so it would be really good if you could spend a couple of minutes to vote. I've implemented the suggestion to include a field for your name. Thanks for voting everyone and remember that you have until 15th June to get your votes in so still plenty of time. Keep em coming folks !!!
-
Voting still open for May song of the month folks :) It's very tight at the top so your vote could make all the difference ;)
It's simple to vote - Just see the post at the top of the thread
All the best

5 days to go to get your votes in guys :) It's really, really tight at the top so your votes could make all the difference. Thanks to everyone who has voted so far :)
-
Okay, I've finally gotten around to voting. That was difficult and I'm pretty sure, depending on the day, I'd choose a different top three. All good songs.
-
Just a reminder to say that there are two more days to get your votes in if you haven't already done so. We've had a pretty good response so far and the winner could still be determined by your last minute votes. A big thank you to all of you who have taken the time to listen to a fantastic selection of songs and cast your vote :)
-
Hi all, voting has now closed and @PaulyX (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=21034) and myself will be counting and double checking the votes before the results are declared. It's been a very healthy response so a big thank you to all of you that have contributed :)

Where's the post for who won? I've searched (almost) everywhere!
