Destiny
Words and music by Chris Price ©2022
Sorceress necromancer
Silver tongued romancer
Should I chance my luck with her today
She told me it was kismet
that she knew the business
her cat’s eyes persuaded me to stay
My destiny decided all the way
Fortune teller’s daughter
Come hell or come high water
She had me climb the tower and ring the bell
She told me it was kismet
that she knew the business
her wicked smile persuaded me to stay
My destiny decided all the way
How could I be so foolish cause I knew that all the time
That everything I wanted can’t be mine
She love me till I’m senseless, then she blew my mind
and slipped into the ether we call time
The moral of my story
don’t wish your life away
Roll the dice, there’s always hell to pay
She told me it was kismet
that she knew the business
her loneliness persuaded me to stay
My destiny decided all the way
How could I be so foolish cause I knew that all the time
the figment of my dreams cannot be mine
She love me till I’m senseless, and then she blew my mind
and slipped into the ether we call time
Final track on my new album ‘American Truck’ which is here:

Hola @ChrisPrice (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=22723)
I thought I had already commented on your song... but it hasn't been like that...
I liked it a lot, you have a color and style so yours that it is easy to recognize your music and as always this latest creation sounds great!! I love the lyrics, the arrangement with the guitars at their right point, everything sounds very good.

Very nice lower rocker. Clean arrangement as well - not too crowded, everything in its place.
Cool lyrics too: I really like the various different things that persuaded him to stay. And the kismet line is really memorable. I have to say I had to remind myself of what a necromancer was as I initially thought it was the other thing...
Nice work indeed!

Great stuff @ChrisPrice (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=22723) More laid back than some of your other stuff. Some lovely guitar links and riffing. Reminded me of something that The Pat Travers Band might have knocked out back in the day. Excellent

Hi Chris, that's a cool song, great mix and vocals and I love the vibe of this song really put me in the mood to play some bangers from the old days. great track!

Yo Chris.
A stonking rocker. Great, crunchy guitars too. Shades of Kossoff on the tones and playing.
The vocals carry the song nicely,an overall live feel is present.

Super stuff ... more lovely Stones / Keef / Black Crowes lovely bluesy playing. I like the way it takes it time. Darn impressive solo in the middle of it too. Thought these were amongst your best lyrics too - "slipped into the ether we call time" is really poetic. Top stuff.

A very stylish song, it can be used in any film about musicians.
Catchy melody, bright, amazing guitars and vocals. This is very cool! I enjoy listening.
