Hola a todos!!! I hope you are ok.
I had a lot of work doing this song, it does not have much instruments but I had to decide which to choose and when to appear... The mix? Maybe the voice...
Stay well
Mora
I wake up in the night
and I listen to the silence
while the darkness softens
as the hours pass
and life dawns
My cats play in the hallway
chasing ghosts
and other friends
everything is contrast
between black and white
fading shadows
in the reality
of your memory
oh mummu oh mummy oh mummy
I caress the pillow
to shelter me
in its so warm heat
and tears
finally
they release the pain
that these dates give me
oh mummy oh mummy

Hi Mora, what a great title! I don't have any ghosts for friends, not yet... but thought that was a really poetic & evocative image.
I like the single piano notes that start this - like raindrops.
And the "oh mummy" sections - I wasn't sure what you were saying at first (until I read the lyrics after watching the video) but I really like the sound of the words there, and the backing vocals around them. It's another one of your atmospheric, delicate and slinky pieces - equal parts light and shadow, which is a good balance. Well done on another cool track.

@moraamarolaloba (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=21233) - Love it, fantastic vibe especially dig the low cutoff synth super cool, love the voice

hahaha
Ghosts and their tales make them to exist, I believe yes...
Thank you very much, it's a very special song and video to me.
Stay well there

@moraamarolaloba (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=21233),
A haunting snapshot of pain and longing. Love the image of cats chasing ghosts that you have created. Great atmosphere created by the music . Guitar is as always first class and the production is quality.
More please

Hi
Nice song with a spooky feel
lots of light & shade & very well recorded, I got a feeling of Grace Jones
Great choice of sounds , I don't think this is mainstream but would certainly
catch a following in this genre
Well Done

Hi Mora, great lyric, and a really imaginative soundscape, loved the choice of sounds. When the percussion came in at first I felt it took away from the melancholy feel, but as it went on the development worked well.
Excellent!
Cheers

Hi Mora. I love the drowsy, waking up feel and the descriptive, imaginative lyrics.
I found this to be a powerful piece of music. You capture something very elemental here.
-
What the beautiful piano sounds in the intro!
Perfectly balanced mix and excellent recorded vocals.
The song is very high quality and beautiful!

Whoa, that was way cool and different! Very interesting and dynamic/evolving arrangement/soundscape with a few surprises as well. I can understand it took some effort to get it right even though it is not crowded with instruments but sometimes that is the hardest thing and you managed it very well, congrats!

Your songs remind me of the old Uk childrens TV show Mr Benn…whereby every episode was an adventure…and invariably had a kindly philosophy or lesson to be learned from it if you wanted to go deeper…though you could also just sit back, empty your mind and enjoy the ride, if you prefer.
“I’ve been chasing ghosts, and I don’t like it” is the opening line from “dying on the vine” by John Cale…one of my all-time favourite songs…so I knew this was going to put a smile on my face.
And it did 😀

It's true, managing simplicity is difficult especially when you have a very baroque taste, like mine!!!
Stay well there

Hola @PaulAds (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20253)
I know from my own experience that children are usually very musical and have a great sense of rhythm but you have to channel and enhance that gift, I don't know that program, here in Spain you had a music lover who created a program on one of the channels state for children to discover music as a game, a sound adventure full of images, action and feelings....
Stay well there
