Happy New Year! here's my latest offering..nonesense lyrics but I had fun with this:
Take You There
Words & Music ©2022 Chris Price
Lord of the manor, alcazar, fortress of plenty out in the stars
Chateau of love in the heavens above, he fly Lear jets lear jets n got the fastest cars
Smooth operator, lothario chaser, gigolo wolf with a razor sharp tongue
Strumpet’s delight all through the night, sweet mama you can’t go wrong
Sugar pack your case I’m gonna take you there..take you there
Wanna see your face when I take you there..yeah take you there
Come back to my place let me take you where..
Leather strides n cowboy hat, this dude knows where it’s at
Maserati, Prada Milano, Giorgio Amani as a matter of fact
Boco Do Lobo, Poltrona Frau, Chandelier mighty for crying out loud
Real estate plenty, a fistful of dough, where he came from nobody knows
Cloak and dagger inside man, interloper in the can
Snoop and spook gumshoe sleuth, double dealer understand
Prima donna, celebutante, egomaniacle superman
Sancho Paramour he wants your hand

Yeeeehaaa! Thigh-slappin' rock 'n roll that I can imagine a room full of cowboys grooving on down to. Lots of fun Chris and the lyrics make plenty of sense... Definitely has a country rock feel to it, I could even imagine it with a fiddle solo in the middle. What's not to like?! Nice work.

Hey, that one is rocking hard, me like!
A think slice of classic rock expertly delivered, ticks all the boxes and mix sounds fine as well.
I'd liked some" breathing space" at some pint i.e. a quit, softer section before going back to full throttle.
A minor complaint of course, great stuff!

Well I just love a fun Rocker & this delivers ! nice layering on the vox
and very cool rockin guitar :) Rock on Chris!

Very cool rocker.
I actually really like these lyrics…they have that wide relaxed rambling feel that Joe Strummer often did in his later years…and I loved Joe!
There seems to be no end to your desire to keep knocking them out…your songs are always quality.

Hi Chris,
Great song man! I love how you do a sweet vibrato at the end of phrases - its kind of your signature and I really love that vocal delivery. Not much critique on the arrangement - love it man! Mix wise, I feel the drums and bass could go down about 1-2dB and the guitar up a bit. I would also consider extending the break after "Come back to my place let me take you where." and in other places - maybe adding a drum fill that alternates flammed toms and kick going down the toms if you know what I mean. I think someone else had the same comment.
Killer job dude!
