When he thinks about Lennon being murdered by Chapman
He wishes all the bad would stop happening
Times are changing but maybe not with him
Greenwich village ghosts haunt him like bad rhythms…like bad rhythms
CHORUS
Sometimes even Dylan gets the blues
Still moving on and pushing 82
He misses those long lost glory days
Even now he’s trying to find his way
It’s so hard living in different shoes
Yeah, sometimes even Dylan gets the blues
He was happier at 17 when he could barley afford a sandwich
Now he stumbles down the hall in his mansion
He still remembers kids dying in Viet Nam
And why his music didn’t stop it sooner but he tried man….he really tried man
CHORUS
bridge
It’s alright its alright ma I’m only bleeding
A sad sad ballad what the crowd is needing

I REALLY like this tune! You have mashed a few musical styles together into a fantastic production that absolutely demanded a replay. It's all cemented in place by some seriously good vocals and songwriting.

Hey
This is catchy and has a very professional sound. With 6.5k listens on SoundCloud I guess you know that already!
Cant fault it at all. Enjoyable listen.

Interesting and dynamic melody. Beautiful vocals. The guitar accent on the weak share sounds beautiful.

This didn't sound like Dylan or the Blues :D
Seriously though - good vocals and production.
To me, the melody was a bit samey and not very catchy but others disagree so I'll shut up about it.
Good luck with it!

Hi, this sounded nothing at all like I expected it to after reading the lyrics - that's a good thing I guess, it subverted expectations.
It sounded ultra modern to my ears (my not very modern ears). I didn't really like the vocal effects if I'm honest - because the lyrics are cool, but the voice felt so effected I couldn't make out the lyrics in the track itself, or get much of a sense of "you" from the delivery. I'd love to hear it with less effects on the vocals, particularly for a song that references Dylan.
None the less, production was really slick, it has good dynamics, I liked the intriguing intro a lot, and clearly loads of people on Soundcloud love it! And like I said, the lyrics are ace.

@Elvis Nash (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=22812) …. Future conversation I’m going to have: “hey sis, you know I’m on that songwriting forum? Well that guy who’s just gone to number one in the album charts - he once posted his hit single ‘Dylan gets the blues’ on the forum for feedback” 😁
Awesome man 👌

Great title and chorus.
Spot on the current pop sound and production.
Vocals sound great, even if you probably didn't need all the processing.
Good luck with it.

Dylan didn't need the processing I guess .thanks buddy

Hola @Elvis Nash (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=22812)
You have a very harmonious musical sense. I really liked the song, it is a very good production.
The lyrics are fantastic, sad and realistic. This line has enchanted me
"It’s so hard living in different shoes"

Wow, that was great. Really liked it - production, singing, song-writing all top notch. The voice and harmonies are super. Well done.
Only one thing jumped out at me and that was the line "He was happier at seventeen". Was he? I don't know. But because none of us can know (except Bob) it sort of just struck a little dischord with me. Very minor, I know, and that aside, I loved it.

Cool country pop number, very professional production, liked it a lot.
-
I also really liked it - the excellent vocal of course helps.
Some great original rhymes (Chapman, happening). And a great hook bringing in the title.
If I were being very critical maybe the fingersnaps felt a little too loose timing-wise, but that's a taste thing and small beans anyway.
Very nice work.

Beautiful, well-recorded vocals. The song sounds very professional. A very nice chorus.

@Elvis Nash (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=22812) - Nice piece, lovely structure and choice of instruments, as @adamfarr (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20124) pointed out about the finger snaps, maybe some of BV's are a little out of sync with the other BV's, but despite this a good peformance
A lot of potential Elvis
