Title: Lucky Day
Post by: pompeyjazz on November 23, 2020, 01:59:51 PM
So, I'm heading back from the beach on my dog walk and there's a guy with a couple of guitars leaning against the front of his house. I ask him what he's doing with them and he's giving them away for free ! So I've just picked up a lovely 2 year old Yamaha acoustic with no dings for nothing. I've googled the model and it's a 200 quid guitar with lovely tone and a nice action  :)

Woh! Now you need to feature it in a song soon so we can hear it.  8)

Managed to fit the new guitar on a little fun number that I'm doing with a few old buddies  :)

What a fantastic story John. You might be on a roll, so do the lottery immediately!  ;)

Great to hear a good news story at the moment!

@pompeyjazz (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20269) - That's really nice of him, unlesss.....

A friend of mine told me that a shady character tried to sell him a car, it turned out to be his dad's that was nicked a few days earlier...

Only kidding Johnno, what a lovely gesture.

I love Yamaha gear, I had a couple of Yam acoustics over the years both were super players, and had a sound all of their own, great for strumming.

Good things happen to good people. It definitely won't be wasted in its new home.

Now if that had been me, I'd now have a 200 quid guitar that I can't play at all instead of a $10.00 guitar that I can't play.  Lucky it was you instead.  'o)

Congrats - did he look like he came out of Aladdin's lamp?
