Title: The pillow of Fear
Post by: moraamarolaloba on November 15, 2020, 06:17:44 PM
I do not know if you the same thing happens to you but I am latest content concerned not only by the pandemic but for something more ... I avoid the news because they are truths half but still perceive within me things I do not like to feel me, so I I make this song, an escape valve for the pressure of my mind.
Hope you like it, it's a very orchestrated base, I had a hard time making it even could certainly introduce some dissonant harmonic instrument but whose result I liked, so here's this strange dream in which I live.

As for the video I have tried to give it a comic touch to soften the story ... I hope I have succeeded, at least I have flown hahahaha

Cuidaros mucho

Mora

 I dreamed
that my feet were chasing
each other

running
in the dark
among the cracks of a day x2

I dreamed
that I was flying
over a field
of white faces

that shone
under the light
of a sad moon  x2

I dreamed
that I was walking
no walking
it was the Earth
that moved
under my feet

How many flags
fighting
against the storms they did  x2

I dreamed
 that a street emerged
 between night and Life

full of people hidden
in the shadows
of their wounds  x2

I dreamed
that a drum sound
shaking the corners

puting out the streetlights
with the fury of a hydra x2

and that it was me
the one that ran
between tears and fire x2

When I dream
on the pillow
of my fears

Always unique and intriguing @moraamarolaloba (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=21233) I love the synth choices that you have used on this number and the unusual structure of the song. Once again it's very atmospheric, dramatic, almost menacing. You are producing some top quality original material.

This is an excellent escape valve @moraamarolaloba (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=21233) . As usual, you have produced a work of art here, both musically and visually.

Be well, my friend.

Yes, I agree, the title appears only once in the song, and it is right at the end but it is the trigger for the story.
Thank you for your visit and nice to meet you!!!

Thank you, my song does not portray a threat, it describes a reality ...
This phrase on my lyrics
"how many flags fighting against the storms they did ..." describes many things!!

Stay safe

Yes, I am an expert in night flights, I usually visit the same holy meadow where I eat grass to regain strength and I continue to fly over a world protected under a cellophane paper that no one has opened!!
Muchas gracias por verme y comentar.
Cuídate mucho amigo mío.

@moraamarolaloba (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=21233),

Who could fail to be moved by such a wonderful soundscape?  The music invites us to conjure a million dream-like images. Lyrically, the images of faces illuminated by a "sad moon" USC for me superb!

Well done, I hope to hear more soon.

Such amazing imagery @moraamarolaloba (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=21233) .. love the thought of feet chasing each other.. This is all about the mood you create - it's very vivid and as always completely original and completely you! I enjoyed it immensely!

Stay safe, Mora, and keep channelling this crazy world into such beautiful creations.

I love the beautiful atmospheric soundscapes with a skittering beat in the intro, I was expecting some high wispy vocals to ease in, but instead is something far more sinister and menacing, it’s unexpected, but absolutely works! It’s original and absorbing!👌

Thank @Wicked Deeds (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=19231)
you! Yes, things go bad since long time ago so dreams can become something terrible... This song I find it is a difficult to listen to one, the construction is not usual

Hola @montydog (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=18653)
Thank you very much for your nice comment, this song is strange, even for me, talking about the fears that reality arouses is normal for many, I usually decorate it ... but not here.

Stay safe!!!

Hi @moraamarolaloba (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=21233)

As usual a fabulous electronic soundscape and surrealist video on which you inpart your poetic lyrics. This song uses far more dissonance to reflect the strangeness and fear that is  part of our every day lives which is really now one of state subjugation and control. However one way or another we will get out freedom back.

Love your work Mora, please keep safe and keep strong.

The song captures the mood of our times, and that is not an easy thing to do. Well done @moraamarolaloba (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=21233) for writing music that captures this uneasy tension, yet has traces of beauty in it too.

Another edgy yet beautiful soundscape created by you! 👍

Normally it is difficult to describe what one feels and more in my case because I am not English speaking ... But I think I have managed to express a concern that goes beyond the pandemic ... A dangerous atmosphere ...

Have a good day!!!!!
