Title: Garageband for iPad
Post by: PeteS on October 21, 2020, 09:14:21 AM
@kafla (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=6905) said on his recent song that he started on GB for ipad and then dropped it into Logic Pro.  I use Garageband on a mac but as far as I'm aware  I can't transfer from the ipad into the mac version.  Is that only available in Logic?

Yes !

Actually it’s the only way you can do it...you need to airdrop to Mac and simply open in GB...you can’t transfer direct to logic

To get to logic you need to save that file and then open on logic...

I say this assuming all programmes are latest versions...

It’s a great route...I even programme on the “can” 😂

It means I can do a lot of work in spare 20 mins here or there 😃

It’s also great for messing around with BPMs, keys , recording rough versions via the iPad mic

Click the project on your iPad and select share , choose project and airdrop...

If you double click the file when it’s on your Mac it should open straight up in GB 👍

Really interesting!  I’ll be giving that a try over the weekend.  Thanks Andy!
