Just testing the temperature for this one to see if there is interest.
The challenge would be to pick a TV theme and to produce and alternative version of that song. Suggest completion by the end of November and then drip feed the entries as we have as per the Binladeda challenge.
Who's up for it ? :) :) :) :) :)
Cheers

Am I right that it wouldn't be an alternative version of the old theme but a new and re-imagined theme song for the same programme? (or do we even need any of these rules...!??!)
Anyhow, I'd certainly be up for the challenge.

Yeah I thought it would mainly be a new original song/theme tune that we had to come up with. It’s as if one of your own fave programmes from the past was being remade and you’d been commissioned to write a new tune for it.
But if some people would prefer to re-arrange or reinterpret an existing old tune, then I guess that would be OK too.
It’s whatever you think you’d have the most creative fun doing.
So my vote be for doing either of these. And I’d be in! ;D

Yes - I would be up for either challenge :)

I'm going to sit this one out John. I really want to get back to writing in a more natural and not forced way. I'll observe from the sidelines and look forward to hearing what everyone delivers.
Good luck.

I'll have a go at this one...whatever the criteria. It'll be a hoot, no doubt.

@pompeyjazz (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20269) - great idea, will try to do something...but can’t promise anything.

I will give it a go...I have an idea to rearrange / rewrite an existing theme tune if that’s allowed ?
-
Cool 😎 It seems that we have 4 or 5 interested. Any more ?

Instrumental or do I need to engage the lyrical one? Or maybe re-use existing theme lyrics?
I may have a go, fair bit on at the mo but I fancy it.
