Hi, A song I was never happy with so got down to remixing etc and thinkin it's not too bad now..
There was no warning,
for the way our love would end,
so come the morning,
I will leave to make amends,
through the wind that blows
I will let you know,
where I am,
I can never be,
what you see in me,
I'm all I am..
you know I must leave this way,
wherever i look I'll see your face,
the soldiers will come this way
you know I must leave without a trace.
Keep running, Hiding,
is the way your life would be,
forever riding,
if you choose to run with me,
through the rain and snow,
we would never know,
what would be,
they are searching now,
they will never set me free,
they'll never believe the truth,
the hangman is ready with his noose,
the world is a lonely place,
I know I can never win this chase..
the love you gave to me,
will always set me free,
when my soul is on the wind,
you will feel my love again,
when you walk amongst the trees,
you will hear me on the breeze,
I will see you in your dreams,
a love that could never be.
there was no warning,
of the way our love would end,
but come the morning,
I will leave to make amends,
I will always be,
what you see in me,
I am what I am,
they will never know,
that my love will grow,
till the end.... © KNmac

Sounds good @shadowfax (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20024). I don't like comparisons but it feels a little 60's, Moody Blues maybe?
The mix is great, instrumentation and vocals also great.
Good job!

I totally love this 😍
Amazing melody and lyrics and the production is beyond my comment.
One small thing - Forever riding if you choose to ride with me sounds better to my ear
Excellent stuff 👌

@shadowfax (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20024) - Looks like your wife had a bit of trouble wrapping your packed lunch...
First love the title.
Right from the off this has Shadowfax all over it.
Could I hear a tracking BV right from the off...I thought you weren't into BV's I would do another track of BV's to give it some heft.
Nice prod. Good song.
Can't offer anything more....

Hi Kev, liked the change of drums at the 'walk amongst the trees' section and the acoustic solo that followed. Excellent production as ever and your trade mark singing and melody.
Cheers

Hola @shadowfax (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20024)
I really liked your song, I love the reverb of the voice.
It is a very good production, all the development is balanced and well arranged as well as the rest, and when the song opens from 1'10 approx. the color that appears is great.

Hello again,
Yep, definitely a Moody Blues feel which is a very good thing indeed. Your songs are always of such a high quality both from a songwriting and production perspective. I really liked this; it is beautiful. However, I think their are too many lines relying on the same melodic pattern in each section. I would have shortened them down and/or varied the melody a little more. Also, the ending is too abrupt which I think is something many of your songs suffer from. The ear likes to be warned that the song is coming to an end and feels cheated when it isn't warned. Otherwise, great.

Hi
Another extremely professional sounding song beautifully sung, played and fantastically produced. I loved the introduction and the way the song builds up to the main drums kicking in .I also thought the lyrics were interesting and contained a great narrative but I too thought that a little judicious editing and a bit more variation in melody would improve and lift this song a little bit more.

Hey Kevin
Hard to critique a song that just washes over you like a warm shower ;D
As others have said - great vocals and production.
I didn't notice anything but a great song here.

Musically interesting to me as I'll like to try a similar approach in some of my production. Cool vocal round in there!.I thought the music was well put together on a very good lyric. Good work.

Excellent production, superb musicianship and great vocals ( as usual). Could do with strong hook to lift it from a good song to a great one?

Another @shadowfax (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20024) cracker Kev. It was great to catch up with you last week. The quality of your production is always outstanding. Agree with others on The Moody Blues vibe
