All The Best People

   all the best
people have gone home
   when i go
i'll not return, oh no
well i guess, I'm next, the hereafter-show
all the best people have gone home

   a change of
scenery doesn't hurt
   it's all about,
perspective makes things work (work it out)
like a jealous wind, where am i to begin?

i've made mistakes, one made me think twice
should i die today, would tomorrow be alright?

there's no need
to enter like a thief
   show me your
hunger, show me your greed
take some more, take anything you want from me

it's a quiet place, in death as in life

Its good for me. I like the drums and tinkling piano.
I like the quirky arrangement and production which suits the lyrics.
And topped of with your unique vocals.
Has a relaxed mesmerising quality to it.

Hi, like the EP tone, and some of the 'crunch' chords work very well. Nice arrangement, I think I've said before some of your arrangements are heading towards Captain Beefheart's Magic band. They used more guitars but created this sort of 'alternative' soundscape. The vocals evocative of Lou Reed and there are lines of the lyric that Bowie could have written.

The listener has to trust that you know what you're doing and it all makes sense internally. It works for me but not for everyone I would guess. I love the originality and imagination on show here. Great stuff once again.

Your lyrics are for me, always the highlight of your productions and this is no exception. I can't help wonder how this would sound with one or two guitars. I believe that they would lift this song to the next level, adding greater texture to your composition.
