Title: New & Retro Indie Music & Culture Website
Post by: RealKevM on June 09, 2020, 10:27:51 AM
Hi everyone, i've recently launched a new indie music website focusing on new guitar bands and 90's indie music.
The website has weekly album and singles reviews, interviews (the first one is with Scottish author Johnny Proctor), a competition, feature articles and the latest indie music news.
I'd be really grateful if you would please have a quick look and let me know what you think, even if the genre isn't your thing. You can also follow us on Twitter (and enter the competition) at https://twitter.com/oursoundmusic3
The website is https://oursoundmusic.com

Thank you :)

But 90s Indie and guitar-based indie rock IS my thing!
I am checking this out post-haste. Thanks for helping to keep the flame burning.

Sounds really interesting and I'll keep watching.

HOWEVER! I have to pick you up on this line in the Single reviews - 'Frank Turner returns with Bob which is a by the numbers Frank Turner tune' - I love Frank so a Frank by numbers would be fine except it's a cover of a NOFX song, part of a joint project between Fat Mike of NOFX and Frank called West Coast Vs Wessex where they cover 5 or 6 of each others songs.

Got to get this stuff right if it's to be credible ;D

I stand corrected Pete! It does sound like any other Frank Turner song mind :)

Just picked up this album and I think it might be something that you would be interested in. Adventurous, guitar-focused Chicago-based female duo:

But if you want to keep it more UK-centric, The Cleaners From Venus have a pretty good new record, too:

You familiar with them? Martin Newell?
If not, I suggest you start with this record, and then explore the rest of his vast catalog:
