This is after a week of hell , where I couldn’t live like it anymore and came out to the family as transgender
I know they aren’t the greatest lyrics ever written but in this instance this is so much bigger than that
Everybody knows
Can’t you see that I’m free
something has changed
you won’t believe
I’m something new
after years and years
the tears are beginning to stop
can’t you see , everybody knows
but now I’m free
can’t you see
the freedom in my eyes
after living shut away all my life
my heart is now at home
now I’m free, everybody knows
everyone sees the freedom in my eyes
can’t you my crying has stopped
everybody knows , now I am free
everybody knows , now I’m free
everybody sees ,
can’t you see the happiness in my soul
now I don’t have a great big hole
the sun is beginning to shine
I don’t know the next lines
don’t know if it’s gonna rhyme
but I know the sun is shining
Oh yeah , can’t you see
the sun shines
no more hiding
Katie is free , everybody knows
everybody sees
I’m not gonna be on my own
my heart has come home
Oh yeah everybody knows
now I’m free , everybody sees
Katie is free
Katie is free
Katie is free
Katie is free
Katie is free
Katie is free

Katie,
I can't imagine how difficult it would be to live a lie, so proud you've finally got that particular monkey off your back. I'm sure there are plenty of others to conquer.. Anyway the truth and directlyness of the lyrics are clear and all the better for it.

As always you put your entire heart and mind in your lyrics, and it is beautiful and strong to read! I'm proud of you that you took the step and came out to your family :) Can't even start to imagine how hard that must have been

Excellent lyric coming from the heart - and it can be felt.
Good on you for climbing that wall. Your family should be proud that you did. :D
