I wrote this one in about half an hour (maybe you can tell? lol) but to me it's probably one of my strongest songs yet, definitely more of a rock element to it. There's even a little guitar solo of sorts at the end! Please let me know what you think :)
Walk into the room like i'm Liam G
Playing my tunes like i'm Gerry C
Underneath the sky of a Courteeners flare
I love how it shines on your golden hair
Are you coming
Are you coming with me
Hold on now darling
You're coming with me
No they'll never
Make a monkey out of me
All i'm asking is
For you to believe
And if all I have is this moment right now
I'm singing the blues
Before I go down

Hi Kev,
Cool lyrics and I can hear where your are going,
Its all there, just the phrasing of the lyrics need changing to flow along with the track,
Sounds cool matey.
-
Cheers man, to be fair I was reading the lyrics off a bit of paper as I couldn't remember them all at the time lol
-
I played this live for the first time yesterday, I ended up doing it a bit fast but i'd love to hear what you think to it
-
This is great, Kev! It's a good tune, and you perform it well live and acoustic. To be a first-time-play for this song you did good, and I am excited to see your development :)

Cheers @Younger Hills (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=22101), really appreciated!

@RealKevM (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=21324) - Kev, your playing, delivery and writing all seem to be improving very rapidly, what do put that down to?
-
Thank you @cowparsleyman (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=21308) well i've been studying video of Richard Ashcroft and his live solo stuff and studying what he does and the way he phrases things, change in tone and melody etc and it's give me some shape to my voice. I've also found that singing with more strength and passion makes me sound a whole lot better too and easier to sing in tune (or nearer to in tune lol) but yes it is quite remarkable isn't it?
-
This is one of my favourite songs to play, here's a slowed down acoustic version, what do you think?
-
Here's yet another version of this, features lots of electric and swirly guitars
-
Hi guys I hope you are keeping safe and well. Here's a live and acoustic version of 'Come With Me' please have a little watch and let me know your thoughts
-
