Hi, produced this song as I was producing the 4 track song..(but on Cubase of course) I used the drum machine I'd borrowed,

With you beside me,
I can be anything,
I can be anything,
anything I choose,
With you beside me,
I can do anything,
I can do anything,
anything I choose,
the night always turns to day,
and you know we sometimes lose our way.
I think I hear you calling,
you know I keep on falling,
but your loving never lets me go x4
I hear you calling me,
I don't know where you are,
you could be anywhere, x 3
I wanna take you to a place inside,
don't wanna leave in this lonely night,
I'll take the time to make you feel it's right,
give me the time to let you hear my plight,
don't you know that your the women I love,
evrey night and day,
you came down to me from the heavens above,
hope your here to stay..©KNmac
best, Kevin :)

Nice mellow open synth feel, almost orchestral at the start. Hard to tie down the structure of the song as it seems to change while keeping the same feel.
I really like the sound of the piano on it's own when the synths drop out at the end, the contrast in lovely.
Really nice tune :)

I like when the drums come in, and how builds up with the bvox, but left me wanting more. Sounds good, though. 😊

Hi Kevin,
A soothing ballad, great to chilling to.
As usual great guitars.
Real warm feeling.

Enjoyed the song, and there's something about your voice I really like. I felt that the pads were a bit too up-front though. I would have liked those pushed back a bit and have had some other sounds (maybe arpeggiated) to add interest. I realise you were keeping it mellow, but even with more stuff going on, that would have been retained with the right sounds. Good stuff as usual though.

Yo Kev.
Love the song as ever quality stuff. 8)
The vocals seem way too deep in the mix, sometimes overwhelmed by the music.
Maybe just my cans, but I've not noticed it before with any of your songs.
Anyway,a minor detail.

Lovely mellow song @shadowfax (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20024) .. lovely atmosphere to it.. Quality production and delivery as always... Just lovely!

Hi Kev,
great song, definitely left me wanting to hear more. I wanted the song to continue for another 3 or 4 minutes... At least.
I agree with Skub about the vocals. I'd have mixed your vocals a lot louder.
I thought you could have played with the levels in cubase a bit more. I'd have increased the levels when the drums come in to give the song a lift.
If you disagree feel free to ignore me.

Really sweet atmosphere, I love it. It was written with great sense, sometimes the less, the better and this is that case. You don't push on emotions of listeners but I felt something really strong and warm.

@shadowfax (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20024) - superb job for a 4 track, it’s not really my bag, but i warmed to it by the end, I’d probably bung a phil collins esque vox fx on the lead vocal but again More bouncing required.
A real great job and well produced.

Hi @cowparsleyman (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=21308) ..this was not done on the four track machine...this was produced in Cubase at the same time as I was working on the four track song (as I say in the opening post)...sorry if my opening post was a bit confusing mate...

Interesting to hear you sing in a lower register than normal and at a slower tempo. It works too. Lots of restraint applied here but there's still a good build to it... the drums dropping in, and then their disappearance, are perfectly placed. It's not one of those tracks that grabs you and swings you round the room on a first listen, but I think it is one of those subtler ones that age well and grow on you with repeated listenings.

Dream, dreamy! Yeah I liked this orchestral synth mood. Your vocal sits on it very nicely and its quite a delicate and sweet - in a good way - combination.
Good stuff!

Hi Kevin,
Just bought myself some new speakers for the old PC and this sounds sweet as a nut through them.
Laid back - super chilled opening.
I liked the guitars, but the drums leading in to them sounded a touch too quick for me.
Production was great.
