Hi Everyone,
The day before my birthday, after being on the site for three months, my songs chalked up a little over 10,000 plays on ##Edited by Boydie##. Never before in my life have I had so many people listen to my songs in such a short time. It was a great birthday present ;D
You can check it out here...

Had a quick look yesterday evening and bumped into a couple of familiar faces ;D
I guess it's the same as most social media stuff as you're going to have to spend some time on there for sure. I don't think I will be though
-
1 post on this site and its an ad for a different site. Hmm
-
Signed up via the app, it looks decent, thank you for the heads up :)
-

Hi @shadowfax (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20024), I have just started giving this a go. But it does look like you would have to be there a lot to gain any traction.
But to upload, click you Account avatar/photo, top right. That then brings up a menu band across the middle of your screen, to the right of your pic. There you will see a clickable link called 'Music'. Go onto that and you can upload from there.
It is not the most intuitive site I have come across, for sure, but I guess you just need to give it a bit of time. So I will have a go! :)

I spent a bit of time checking it out but tbh you would have to devote a lot of time to get any sort of substantial precense

As Mikek said 1 post which is a link to another site. I wouldn't sign up based on the original posters advice "10000 listens" seems a lot like those "submit your track" spam on soundcloud .
Baiting his referrals

Yeah,I'm inclined to agree. Soundcloud is full of spammers offering you many K of plays and sadly many of the daft posters fall for it.
Perhaps it's a legit enough site, but I thought it's at the very least bad form to use the forum as an advertising medium, when there is no obvious sign of a desire to participate. I wonder if @Boydie (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=18510) was asked permission to advertise?

@Skub (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20061) Thanks for the heads up (and the reports by others) - I have been monitoring the thread and decided to leave it as some seemed to getting some use/value for it
Due to some suspicions by those using it and the lack of participation by the OP I will edit the original post
Thanks guys

I think it’s a genuine site but it’s simply overloaded and difficult to get a foothold on. I thought it looked good at first but I’m giving it up and staying here.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing when I noticed only one post but it could be useful for muso's that didn't know about it..like me! LOL..I put a song on there and it's getting played and feedback at no cost to me so can't be too bad...
