Hi!
I was sent a message on SoundCloud offering to put my song 'Stars (for Vikki) on a page called mixplays.com.
Anyone familiar with the site? (Looks like 'free-trial' marketing)

I'm not familiar with this particular site but these things are scam (kind of).
You pay and they use their hundreds/thousands of sock accounts to stream your song (or follow you on social media, there's loads kicking about on Instagram and Twitter too).
While it makes your song stats looks impressive in reality no actual human or anyone with an interest in your music is listening. It's some guy in India with 50 web browsers open :)

I don't have any dependence on plays on SoundCloud, followers, Tweetes, re-Tweets, Facebook, Instagram or being mentioned in the local newspaper. But I like conversation about music, and believe it makes writing and recording a way to develop ones abilities. (Yes, I flirt with The Forum.)
