Got to thinking lately - a lot of people seem to be doing a lot of lying lately and if you're rich you can usually get away with it..

Hey Paulski
Well that's certainly a pertinent tune for the times we're living through.
I liked the plinky-plonk music hall feel to the piano and the lyrics are, of course, clever all the way through.
I can very often imagine your songs as show tunes and this is no exception.
There are so many people for whom this could feature in some future comedy bio-pic musical... you better start pitching it now...

Clever, original sounding show tune.
Lyrics and vocals are the star. Great choice of chord and progression.
Sounds like a standard and should be on a animation film soundtrack imho.

this is everything that I have come to expect of your writing. I feel like I'm sounding like a record on constant replay. I think that you are such a skilful writer. You've pulled all of the elements together - a brainstorming session that has included The FBI, the judge. The Gavel etc - that's taking your writing to a more professional level and I appreciate that.

Song is ace as ever, love a list song and you work all the angles beautifully. Love the "Lie to Yourself" at the end, perfect switch around on the listener.

This is really great @paulski, another entertaining song to add to your growing collection. You have a stand-out sound that is so different to anything else I am hearing out there.
Clever word craft, great piano and convincing distinctive vocals. Just a treat to listen to, I'd say!

How the FBI will be judged, again, in, say, another 50 years time, might find that very little, if anything, had changed.
You might all have a lot more confidence in their ability to separate the great work that the majority of field agents do as opposed to what some of the senior management of the bureau has traditionally done than I have.

Listened twice so far and very cool! Alas, my reaction to all politics these days is to ignore them and concentrate on my own little world, which is really not the right attitude but I am much happier for it...

So funny and topical - I would love President Chump to hear this. Your songs are always so bleedin' clever - "gavel" rhyming with "shackles" must be a first ever in the history of songwriting! I can't believe you packed all that into 2:15. Randy Newman would be proud of this as you should be too.

Doesn't everybody...apart from George Washington of course...especially to the likes of the FBI.
Seemingly effortless work from your studio...though I'm sure it was harder work than it seems.
Sounds like a Paulski song....who else on that piano with that good, clever vocal work.
