Title: 7 hour car journey
Post by: Wicked Deeds on December 27, 2018, 10:19:15 PM
I worked a 12.5 hour shift today.  I had intended to drive to my home town tonight to collect my children from the northeast and drive back to the northwest tomorrow with them. When I returned home, my partner said that a box had been delivered and that's she had placed it in my studio room.  So, I  went upstairs and WOW,  my children were sitting there waiting for me. My partner had taken the day off work and embarked upon a 7 hour car journey to collect them.  That has to be the best Christmas present that I could have received.  the boys will be with me for five  days whilst I am off work enjoying my holiday (I've been working all over Christmas.) That is a wonderful end to my year at a time when I was feeling quite low after missing the boys.  I'm feeling so happy tonight,

That actually brought a tear to my eye  :'(

What a wonderful surprise - and what a fantastic thing for your partner to do for you

I am sure you will have an amazing few days - enjoy every second of it!!

@Boydie (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=18510), @CalioMoko, @ Bill Saunders,

Yes it is was a beautiful Christmas gift that embodies the true spirit of kindness, consideration and giving without expecting anything in return. I'm still blown away by this marvellous present.

Paul
