Title: looking for lyrics?
Post by: Furry61 on October 17, 2018, 04:41:02 PM
Hi I have only posted 2 lyrics on this site but have read many that other people have posted, some are good lots of them are not so good. Most people make the classic mistake of writing for their own gratification, this seldom ends with a lyric that someone else would say wow I want to sing that, also good structure is often missing where verses and choruses look and sound like the continuation of a poem, lastly the flow of the lyric is important if it reads well it will be easy to sing to. This probably sounds a little pompous but really important advice.

I do collaborate with several people but am always willing to expand, any musicians/singers out there who are struggling lyrically but have melodies, I have lots of experience of writing to a top line and also supplying easy to sing to lyrics that you can work on.

I admire your straight talking - refreshing.
i am with you - lyrics without a tune is a poem and generally a bad one at that.
