Title: We Lit The Fuse
Post by: Wicked Deeds on August 20, 2018, 09:52:18 AM
We lit the fuse

We were lovers for a while.
I didn't make you smile,
I brought the rainfall.
You were meant to be the last.
I'd say it happened way too fast;
perhaps, our downfall.

Did we both forget to trust,
Couldn't stop the last explosion
and still, we lit the fuse.

There were fireworks in the sky.
We said the flames would never die
but that takes wisdom.

We caught a ride up to the moon.
Our star was fading way to soon
and now, we're embers.

Did we both forget to trust,
Couldn't stop the last explosion.
and still, we lit the fuse?

May the planets still align.
I'll be yours and you'll be mine.
May the light that shines above
Favour love.

Did we both forget to trust,
Couldn't stop the last explosion
and still, we lit the fuse.

I like this, Paul. Reads like it could be quite catchy.
