I wrote this song last year and recorded it in someone's flat last Xmas.
I watched it again today n realised it's not that bad.
I really want to step up my game, so advice n feedback is very welcome,
hey, or even a hard truth from those that can.
Still a favourite of mine
It's called,
All the best people have gone home
all the best
people have gone home
when I go
I'll not return, oh no
well I guess, I'll be the next, hereafter-show
all the best people have gone home
a change of
scenery does not hurt
it's all about,
perspective makes things work (work it out)
like a jealous wind, where am I to begin?
a change of scenery wouldn't hurt
I've made mistakes, one made me think twice
should I die today, would tomorrow be alright?
all the best people have gone home
there's no need
to enter like a thief
show me your
hunger, show me your grief
take some more, take anything you want from me
there's no need for you to enter like a thief
I've made mistakes, one made me think twice
would it be okay, if I turn off the lights
it's a quiet place, in death as in life
If I die today, will tomorrow be alright?
all the best people have gone home
all the best people have gone home

Hi @Rightly (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20219) - Lovely to see you play, I've been a fool to completely miss this strand of the forum, and now everything sits better with me for a few forum contributors.
It's a good song, and I just really dig your voice. Since you posted this your other work has taken a journey through some very interesting areas, which again suits your voice well well, you are always commited how you want the song to be..
Interesting chords..
Just out of interest, I never heard any Cohen at all in my life, then a vocalist I know and I did a version of Hallelujah, (I didn't know it was a Cohen song) when it was done I thought I'd listen to his stuff and to be honest he didn't do anything for me, but that's the thing with music...so personal, I remember being a complete fool and buying albums on the recommendation of others and most of the time they were awful.

I like the cut of your gib.
