Title: Equipment for Beginners?
Post by: exfairy on March 05, 2018, 07:20:53 PM
So hey, been a while since I posted - sorry. I have still been writing though and may put some new stuff on here.

Anyway.

I've been writing and recording original and cover music for years now and I've managed to obtain some decent equipment to make this possible.
However I want to up my game now and am looking to get a midi keyboard or one of those drum pad things. Issue is, I have no idea how/where to start.
I currently use Cubase LE on a Lenovo laptop with a Zoom H1 - so stuff compatible with that, and USB stuff tbh would be handy.

Suggestions?
(also not too expensive ofc - like under 100)

Hi @exfairy (http://www.songwriterforum.co.uk/index.php?action=profile;u=20815) good to see you back. I certainly would recommend the M-Audio Axiom air 32 mini. It's the only one I've got and used it for about 3 years now. About 70 quid . Decent drum pad and 32 key keyboard and some good free software and FX bundled in the package  :)
