Hi,
I’m looking for a lyricist/collaborator for various songwriting projects I have in mind.
Above all I’m looking for versatility - whether it be finishing off half-written lyrics, putting words to pre-existing music, or starting songs from scratch.
I also have a few longer-form narrative ideas, so someone who perhaps knows a bit about story structure may be beneficial.
My influences are quite wide - classic 60s/70s pop/rock, Tin Pan Alley, Broadway, all the way to modern pop.
Based in Bristol, UK.
Let me know if you’re interested, I want to get working as soon as possible.

Hey man. We're interested. Why not post some stuff. Lyrics or music. There's a lot of diversity on the forum sometimes see how it goes :)

Yes, interested here too.
Post some half baked ideas and maybe some other one of talent will get on board.

"Bein' Lonely is Baloney"
Been around these parts for a time
awkwardly smiling at a lady I wish was mine
from time to time
I would think I did find
but alas
back to searching for the sound of love in a simple rhyme
it used to be so easy to find
a comfort when the night gets dark and cold
This longing and hoping is getting old
and like a shell game
or a carnival barker
the words become hollower
the more I say them
take a chance
can I have this dance?
won't you slip away with me?
into the light
won't you seek mutual comfort?
everything is gonna be alright
this time
I think I've found the key
the solution is for you
and me
to fly
to give it a try
I'll tell ya
this here Bein' Lonely
well, it's a slab of mute and unforgiving
baloney
but
I haven't given up the search
I survey what I can from an obscured perch
and dream that someday
I will find
Or
it will find me
eventually
I've come close
many a time
thinking
this is it
love is on the way
but
then it all just slips away
again
another flit of the spirit
a jolt of the heart
an uptick of hope
devotion is near
but
then again
I call out
and
no one is nearby
to here it
and
it's been so long
I've even come to fear it
love
four letters that mean less than when I started
four letters on the lips
of the brokenhearted
any other time
I'd pretend that I was fine
but
nowadays
let me count the ways
futility
and loss of drive
but
I still find myself alive
Bein' Lonely is just baloney
though I try...

I'm with John and 'Rightly' and would be game, too :-)
