Title: Mulholland Drive by Joe Antaine
Post by: JoeAntaine on December 01, 2017, 09:59:17 AM

You act like it's funny but its not.
If we're just shadowboxing
Why am I rocked with every shot.
You taken everything I got,
But you just keep on swinging until the light starts dimming.
Pour me another then I'm yours.
Or wait an hour or two
And lift me of the floor.
Then I'm easy to ignore.
You can keep it buried.
I'll wipe it from my memory.

We'll wait for Hollywood
Where we won't be misunderstood.
We'll buy a place on Mulholland Drive.
We'll stroll the walk of fame
And search for,Brando's name.
We'll be so happy we arrived.

We've lived many lifetimes for our years.
Now when I'm looking back
There's only souvenirs.
Not a memory to hold dear.
But you can often twist it.
If nothing your persistent.
Can't clear the chaos in our wake,
No conscience left to spare,
No more rules to break,
Or soul we can't forsake.
I'm sure with exception
Its either you or bedlam.

We'll wait for Hollywood
Where we won't be misunderstood.
We'll buy a place on Mulholland Drive.
We'll stroll the walk of fame
And search for,Brando's name.
We'll be so happy we arrived

Nice production and you have a good voice( sounds a little like Take That?). Catchy chorus.

Hi joe,

Sounds like a cool track.
Vocal is nice,  Like the Backing vocals, Nice production..Sounds very Midi tho and a bit too quantised for me. Not a bad thing if thats the vibe you were going for.

Can t really dis it too much.

Great work that man.
Andy

Very professional. A little too overproduced for my ears, but I do like the song. It's catchy. Reminds me of Queen in their later years. My only suggestion would be for you to lift the vocals slightly. They sound slightly underpowered. Cheers Micky

Hi Joe, very well thought out, recorded and produced and very modern sounding. Maybe I'm an old fart (actually I am one) but it was far too clean, precise and faultless for me. Loved the chords progressions and melody though. Just thought that it could work better more stripped down

Super song!

I liked its cleanliness, well orchestrated!

You have a great voice and it really shows in the chorus. In verses, it felt like you were holding yourself it some emotional content got lost which made me anticipate the chorus and a little less focused in the verses

Thought this was ace Joe. I was also getting shades of Queen and also Spacehog from it. I loved the big lift that accompanies each chorus (exactly how I like a chorus to be served!). Very well sung and produced too... lots of sunshine, like modern glam rock. I'll say it again: ace.

I cannot thank you enough for that review man. I'm having a down point and that was really well timed. Thank you so much.

really like this
well done!!

the voice reminds of Bon jovi, (or similar but better than Wobbie Rilliams)
very nice with that dance groove

great backing vocals and harmonizing
sentiment and lyrics top rate too!

I'm not sure if I'd like the stripped piano version more.
maybe with guitar?

I like this version.

I use a producer man, I'm useless with tech like most piano players, old school instrument, ancient approach.

Hello,

I finely polished song.  It sounds very much like Robbie Williams is a big influence.  Strangely enough your  voice reminds me a little of Nik Kershaw.  It's a well structured performed and produced song. good luck with your promotions.

I think classic Robbie was good but he really wasn't an influence, I do hear it a little though. I can't stand my voice to be honest.
