Hi everyone, glad to be on here, this is my first post.
Have been working on some film music for a new independent film project called 'Drifter'.
I wrote a song for the film trailer called 'Fading' and would be interested if anyone has any feedback/production notes for me so i can help to improve my style as an artist/producer.
Here is a link to the trailer:

Hope you like!
Thanks,

Hi Sean, I watched your vid and find the song and music feet perfectly with the images but... I find (it is my personal point of view) the reverb it is not this one the song needs... Perhaps a more enveloping reverb that does not separate the music from the images. Regards. Mora

Thanks mora, really appreciate your feedback. Yes i know what you mean. Unfortunately due to deadlines and so on i was unable to change it postproduction, as the vocal came from an earlier render which had that reverb in it!
its a learning curve for me in term of how to structure production but i'm guessing its probably best to just leave effects etc for that later point in the song creation. Or just not render the vocals with effects when taking to mastering stage :)

Yeaa .. i agree.. Reverb ...

I like this ... very atmospheric and suits the movie clip.

Good job,
Without knowing anything of the film, the music seems to compliment the action in the trailer.
Very atmospheric, nice backing vocals.
My favourite part?...the way the punches land on the beat :)

Hi Sean and welcome
I really liked the song - has a road-weary mood to it which I think matches the images in the vid. Vocals are solid as well as the instruments.
Not sure I liked the out-of-tune pipe bang on the off-beat or whatever it is, but that's an artistic choice.
Looking 4ward to more from you - you got da chops ;D ;D

Thanks a lot Paul! Yes the drums are actually just me hitting the guitar for the most part lol, thought it would give a nice live feel. The pan sound is when i slapped the stings, was a bit random but didn't bother me too much :)
Cheers for listening!
